Permanent affiliation: National Member Agreement of unlimited duration with the World Dog Federation

The Club Federal Chinologic – ROYAL Association announces the signing of the National Member Agreement of unlimited duration with the World Dog Federation (WDF). Romania’s affiliation no longer has an expiry date: the institutional relationship becomes permanent, marking a new stage in the development of the cynology system we represent in Romania.

The agreement confirms that, after the initial cooperation period — whose role was to monitor the potential and evaluate the resources of our association — the World Dog Federation recognised the organisational stability, administrative rigour and institutional capacity demonstrated by the Club Federal Chinologic – ROYAL Association, granting continuity to the relationship without setting an expiry date, under the permanent observance of the obligations assumed through the WDF statutes and regulations.

The conditions for this transition were met in a short time. The agreement of unlimited duration is not granted automatically, nor upon the mere passage of time: the document itself states that it is concluded in consideration of the successful completion of the previous cooperation period and the level of trust demonstrated by the national organisation. The fact that this evaluation concluded favourably so quickly is, for the Romanian cynology community, confirmation that the work carried out so far has met the institutional standards required by the World Dog Federation.

What does this mean for breeders in Romania?

Institutional stability. Instead of agreements requiring periodic renewal, the relationship between Romania and the World Dog Federation continues permanently, as long as the professional standards and assumed obligations are observed. Breeders thus gain predictability and confidence in the continuity of the activities carried out within the WDF system.

Continuity of genealogical services. The agreement guarantees the continuous operation of the administrative and genealogical system made available to the national member, without the need to periodically renegotiate the institutional relationship. For breeders, this means stability in the use of studbooks, documents and the specific services offered within the WDF system.

Recognition of the national organisation’s rigour. The agreement of unlimited duration is a recognition earned, not a right received: it confirms the level of trust the national organisation demonstrated during the cooperation period.

Long-term development. A stable institutional system allows the planning of projects that go beyond the horizon of a single year: the development of the Studbook, investment in digital infrastructure, the training of judges and specialists, the expansion of educational programmes and the strengthening of international relations. The agreement creates the framework for such projects, without the uncertainty generated by the periodic renewal of the legal relationship.

Unified standards and transparency. The agreement sets out clear obligations regarding annual reporting, administrative organisation, registry management, data security and the observance of procedures. These mechanisms contribute to a more transparent and predictable system for all participants: breeders, owners, judges and member organisations.

A responsibility, not a privilege

The signing of this agreement is a long-term responsibility. It grants no permanent privileges and removes none of the national organisation’s obligations — on the contrary, maintaining this status is conditional on the continuous observance of the professional, administrative and ethical standards set by the World Dog Federation. It is precisely this rigour that lends the system credibility and guarantees that its development rests on clear rules, applicable equally to all.
