How entry works

Have the dog's details ready — microchip, date of birth, coat colour and coat type, the pedigree number (if any) and the parents' names. The competition class is based on the dog's age on the show date, not on the entry date.
The microchip is mandatory — at the show, its data must match the documents presented exactly. Without a microchip the entry cannot be submitted.
Purebred dog without a pedigree? — the pedigree number is not required. The dog competes and may win BOB and Best in Show, but without a pedigree it cannot receive certificates (CAJC, CAC, CACIB). If you wish to obtain a typicity pedigree, tick “I want a typicity pedigree” — the dog will be assessed for typicity in the ring.
Coat colour and parents — are printed in the official show catalogue. Coat colour and coat type (short-, long-, wire-haired…) are required at entry. Parents are optional (a typicity pedigree does not list them) — if you do not know them, the secretariat can complete them until the catalogue closes.
After you submit — you receive a confirmation email. Once the secretariat checks your entry you receive the catalogue number. Entries close before the show, when the catalogue is printed.

Note: a dog without a pedigree number competes normally, including for BOB and Best in Show, but cannot receive certificates (CAJC, CAC, CACIB).
