Organization
What we are and what we are not
In short: a national cynological association, member of the World Dog Federation, that publishes everything it does. We are not FCI-affiliated. Below we say exactly what that means for you.
Who we are
The Royal Federal Canine Club (Asociația Club Federal Chinologic – Royal) is a national cynological association, legally registered on 22 September 2023 (Râmnicu Vâlcea) and effectively active since November 2025, when it became an official member of the World Dog Federation (WDF). The national membership agreement is of indefinite duration, from 31 July 2026.
We keep an online stud book, with certificates verifiable by QR code. We register kennel affixes, which also appear in the WDF international breeders’ register. We organise dog shows with CAC and CACIB titles in the WDF system, through our own show manager, with online entries and published results. We train judges through the Judging School of the Centre for the Development of Cynological Competences.
Today the association has 4 member associations (Caraș-Severin, Carpații – Iași, CFC Buzău, Străjerii Munților), a Panel of 10 licensed judges, 6 of them All Breed, 28 registered kennels and 8 events in the 2026 calendar.
What “WDF member” means
The World Dog Federation is an international federation of national organisations, founded in 2017, distinct from the FCI. The documents we issue (certificates of origin, affixes, titles) are mutually recognised by WDF member organisations. Our judges are licensed on WDF groups and may judge at shows held by WDF member organisations.
What we are not
We are not FCI-affiliated. Our documents, titles and licences are valid in the World Dog Federation system and across the network of WDF member organisations; in the FCI system they have no effect. We say this from the start, so that everyone knows exactly what they are getting.
How you can verify what we say
- The public register: any certificate we issue can be verified by scanning its QR code — public register.
- The Panel of Judges: every judge, with the groups they may judge — Panel of judges.
- Show results: published after every show — results page.
- The Statute, Board decisions and regulations — Transparency.
- Fees: membership 100 lei/year, pedigree 50 lei, affix 250 lei — Fees & charges.
Who we are for
For breeders who want fast, verifiable documents at fair costs. For exhibitors who want fair rings, judges announced in advance and published results. For local associations that want to run their own show with our systems while keeping their autonomy. And for anyone with a purebred dog who wants to understand, without jargon, what its papers mean.
