The official WDF champion titles

🏆 THE OFFICIAL WDF CHAMPION TITLES

According to the regulation, WDF awards the following champion titles:

  1. Junior Champion
  2. National Champion
  3. International Champion
  4. Reproducer Champion
  5. Grand Champion
  6. Multi Champion
  7. World Champion

These are the only official WDF champion titles.

1. WDF JUNIOR CHAMPION

✔ Conditions for obtaining:

The dog must obtain:

➤ 4 (four) CAJC certificates (WDF)

➤ from at least 3 different judges

CAJC is awarded only in the classes:

  • Very Young (9–12 months)
  • Young (12–18 months)

✔ Concrete procedure:

  1. The dog is entered at shows in the Very Young and Young classes.
  2. It obtains the grade Excellent 1 → it enters the „play-off” for CAJC.
  3. The judge may award CAJC male + CAJC female.
  4. When the dog accumulates 4 CAJC from at least 3 different judges, the owner may apply for the title.
  5. The WDF secretariats validate the CAJCs in the booklet.
  6. WDF issues the Junior Champion diploma.

2. WDF NATIONAL CHAMPION

✔ Conditions for obtaining:

The dog must obtain:

➤ 6 (six) CAC certificates (WDF)

➤ from at least 4 different judges

➤ at least 1 CAC must be obtained at an international show

CAC is awarded exclusively in the classes:

  • Intermediate
  • Open
  • Working
  • Winner
  • Champion
  • Foreign Champions

✔ Concrete procedure:

  1. The dog participates in the eligible classes (≥ 15 months).
  2. It obtains Excellent 1 and wins the class → it enters the play-off for CAC.
  3. The judge may award 1 CAC/sex/breed.
  4. The dog must accumulate:
    • 6 CAC
    • from 4 different judges
    • including one CAC at an international show
  5. When the conditions are met, the owner submits the application for the National Champion title.

✔ Important note:

The title may be obtained once for each year of life up to the age of 10.

3. WDF INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION

There are two possible routes.

✔ Variants:

🔹 Route A (national):

➡ 6 CACIB (WDF)
➡ from 4 different judges
➡ obtained at international shows in one’s own country

🔹 Route B (international):

➡ 3 CACIB (WDF) as follows:

  • 2 CACIB from the country of origin
  • 1 CACIB from a WDF member country

CACIB is awarded only:

  • at international shows
  • to dogs that have already received CAC
  • in the adult/champion classes

✔ Procedure:

  1. The dog is entered in the intermediate/open/working/winner/champion class.
  2. It obtains CAC → it becomes eligible for CACIB.
  3. The judge awards CACIB to the winner among the dogs with CAC.
  4. The CACIBs are accumulated according to one of the routes.
  5. The application for the International Champion title is submitted.

4. WDF REPRODUCER CHAMPION

A title awarded on the basis of offspring, not on the basis of one’s own results.

✔ Conditions:

A dog (male or female) must have produced, from at least 2 different litters:

➤ 6 different offspring with the grade EXCELLENT

or

➤ 3 offspring that have obtained the National Champion title (including Junior)

✔ Procedure:

  1. The evidence of the offspring’s performances is collected.
  2. The pedigrees and results are verified.
  3. WDF validates and issues the Reproducer Champion title.

5. WDF GRAND CHAMPION (Grand Champion)

✔ Conditions:

The dog must have obtained:

➤ 3 WDF National Champion titles

✔ Procedure:

  1. The dog wins National Champion in at least 3 different years of life.
  2. The application is submitted to WDF with the evidence (the validated CACs).
  3. WDF awards the title only once in a lifetime.

6. WDF MULTI CHAMPION

This is the supreme title in the WDF hierarchy.

✔ Conditions:

The dog must have obtained:

➤ 1 Grand Champion title

➤ 1 International Champion title

✔ Procedure:

  1. Both titles are verified.
  2. The application is submitted.
  3. The Multi Champion title is awarded only once in a lifetime.

7. WDF WORLD CHAMPION

✔ Conditions:

The dog obtains:

➤ The International Certificate of Beauty

at the World Cup (WDF).

✔ Procedure:

  1. Participation in the WDF World Cup show.
  2. Obtaining CACIB at the world event.
  3. WDF automatically awards the World Champion title (only once in a lifetime).
